How to Get Your At-Home COVID-19 Tests

There are two ways for SelectHealth members to get at-home COVID-19 tests:

  1. SelectHealth covers up to two at-home COVID-19 over-the-counter (OTC) tests every seven days, or up to eight tests each month. To get tests at no cost to you, bring them to the pharmacy counter at a network pharmacy and show the pharmacist your SelectHealth ID card. Do not use the register at the front of the store. Note: Tests are counted by individual tests and not by package. For example, if a kit contains two tests, it counts as two tests.

  2. If you are unable to get tests using your SelectHealth ID card, you may purchase tests and submit the receipts for reimbursement using the Request Repayment for at-home COVID-19 OTC Tests form (English and Spanish).

If you need help filing a reimbursement form, call us at 1-866-469-7774 (TTY: 711).

To receive a reimbursement, at-home COVID-19 OTC tests must be FDA authorized. Check here to see which tests are FDA-authorized. The list may change as new tests are approved.

New Yorkers
with HIV
are Now Eligible
for the
COVID-19 Vaccine

COVID-19 remains a significant risk in New York City (NYC) and across the U.S. Vaccination, along with other prevention measures, can help us end the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Get Vaccinated
Vaccines are very effective at preventing COVID-19, a disease which can lead to hospitalization and death and cause long-term health problems. All people with HIV who live in New York State (NYS) are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Click here for more information about how you can get vaccinated.

What is
VNS Health
doing to keep
patients, plan
members, and the
community safe?

VNS Health has been working with the New York State Department of Health and the CDC to make sure our patients, staff, and the community we serve are supported against COVID-19.

  • We follow New York State, CDC, and New York City public health protocols and our employees must comply with COVID-19 vaccine mandates (unless they are legally exempt).

  • Employees who make home visits wear personal protective equipment, are trained on how to use it, and are required to wear it during visits. They also monitor their health status daily.

Education. All staff have been trained in minimizing the chances of their becoming infected with COVID-19 and transmitting infection to those they care for, as well as in identifying the symptoms, safety, and screening practices.

Communication. VNS Health has activated its Emergency Response System to provide the most up-to-date information to staff.

Collaboration. We are working closely with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, in addition to state and federal agencies and medical facilities, to make sure our procedures and guidelines reflect the most current medical information.
